Ayurvedic
centres are the institutionalised forms of Kerala's exclusive medical
practices. Most of these centres were set up not with profit motive
but to make the best traditional treatments available to all. Decades
ago, almost all famous Ayurveda Acharyas conducted treatments at
their own home. But, when this type of treatment got international
reputation and many non-Keralites came to Kerala for Ayurvedic Treatment,
it turned to any other type of medical practice with all its features.
Still, Ayurveda is the best treatment opted by common man.
